What is in a Sydney Building Inspection Report?
A building inspection report is the written output of a pre-purchase building inspection. In Sydney, all building inspection reports must comply with Australian Standard AS 4349.1 โ the national benchmark for pre-purchase residential building inspections.
Our reports are structured clearly and written in plain English โ not technical jargon designed to minimise liability. Every major defect is individually described and photographed, with a clear explanation of why it is a major defect and what it may mean for the property.
Minor defects are collectively noted and described. Safety hazards are individually reported. The report concludes with a general assessment of the property's overall condition compared to similar properties of the same age and construction type.
All of our reports are delivered to your email inbox within 24 hours of the inspection completing. You can share the report with your conveyancer, solicitor, or mortgage broker โ and we're available to discuss the findings by phone or email after delivery.
Your report can be shared with your solicitor, conveyancer, mortgage broker, or any other party involved in your property purchase. It can also be used to negotiate with the vendor or request repairs before settlement. Our inspector is available by phone or email to discuss any findings after the report is delivered.
